Inspiration and Acknowledgments
Published September 16, 2026 · RickzyNovaNuke is an independent project inspired partly by PHP-Nuke and the culture surrounding classic self-hosted content management systems.
PHP-Nuke, created by Francisco Burzi, helped introduce many website owners to news publishing, modules, themes, blocks and community administration from one system. NovaNuke recognizes that pioneering contribution.
Built independently
NovaNuke does not use the original PHP-Nuke source and is not an official continuation or replacement. Its core and extension system were built from scratch for modern PHP.
The relationship is one of inspiration, not inheritance. NovaNuke attempts to carry forward the belief that ordinary people should be able to install software, understand it and create a website that belongs to them.
